Description
Monroe County's Coordinated Law Enforcement and Community Approach to Addressing the Opioid Crisis
Please join the Roberts Justice and Security Institute as we hear from experts facing the opioid epidemic that is affecting our towns, cities, and the entire country. Hear from Gates Chief of Police Jim VanBrederode '88 and Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter '11 & '14. Both officers have many years of experience and will bring that expertise to this important topic.
Join us afterward for a dinner and discussion entitled “Drugs over Dinner” in the Ellen Stowe Roberts Dining Room. This is a great opportunity to gain insight into this problem and may be helpful for professionals who work with individuals facing this addiction. Especially instructive for those in criminal justice, social work, nursing, and the healthcare professions.
